Sunday Lust List #11

A few weeks back, I did a River Island themed Lust List, and after a visit to House of Fraser in Bluewater, there are some dresses from Oasis that caught my eye that I’ve been thinking about and wanting to add to my summer wardrobe! With that in mind, I thought I would show you some of my favourites – I think I can safely say that I’m enjoying prints this summer, haha : ) quite a lot of my picks are sale items too, so have a look if you like, and see if anything catches your eye!

1. I’ve always liked the romanticism of the Orient, particularly cherry blossoms – and in all truth if anything has a cherry blossom on it I will most likely want to buy it… so this dress was an easy pick for me! I also really like the nude and grey combination with splashes of red, it keeps the design eye popping and bold without being too loud!

2. I think this dress is my favourite of them all! I can 100% imagine walking around a beautiful island such as Hawaii in this little number… or even if I don’t make it out of the UK, it would help me pretend I was somewhere a little more tropical! I really love bird prints (even if that concept has become a little cliche by now, I don’t mind one bit!) and the fact that the hummingbirds are a little more oversized really sells it for me. Plus, it also helps that this shade of aqua/jade happens to be my favourite colour… I’m sold!

3. Because in our heads, we all dream of re-enacting those poetic scenes in movies; frolicking through the meadows at dusk, this dress is elegant and floaty enough to be the perfect costume choice for such things! I know that I definitely love the idea of wearing floaty dresses in the summer because they just seem so romantic, and light fabrics never go amiss, even if the UK climate isn’t exactly sizzling! I also really like this delicate vintage inspired bird print, and personally I think it makes the dress look more high end than high street.

4. The great thing about prints is that you can use them to explore all the different sides of your personality. For example, you can go from something romantic, to something a little edgier, like this zebra print dress. Fashion is so fun, oui?! Showing off your animalistic side is always very liberating and fun, and this dress in particular has some great, unusual, extra detail on the back that I find really interesting!

5. Again, because the theme of this summer for me, seems to be that I want to pretend I live in Hawaii… I can’t get enough of these tropical prints. I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life for these to happen, and now they’re here, I can’t get enough – which is unfortunate because nothing spells “broke” quite like being a freshly graduated university student! Sob sob.

6. This cute little striped number rather reminds me of a modern-update of Jean Seberg’s iconic Dior creation in Breathless. The film is a testament to the fact that that the perfect striped dress can be really timeless, and I think this one would be a great wardrobe addition for years to come, for that very reason!

Sunday Lust List #10

1. I went to stay with Carrie last week, and whilst I was there this Topshop skirt arrived in the post for her. I’m a sucker for any kind of animal themed item, as I have said before, and have seen this print on trousers before – so I was quite excited by the prospect of a skirt in the same print. From what I’ve seen, it looks as if it’d be really comfortable and would be a great lightweight item for summer… as if I need any more excuses to want to buy it!

2. When it comes to shoes, I never really wear heels in the day because I walk so fast, and when I’m in heels it frustrates me that I can’t power along in the way I usually would! I think its true to say that these Vans are pretty popular at the moment, but that doesn’t really bother me, and I’d still like a pair for myself in this nice bright turquoise shade. I used to live in my Converse when I was younger, but since I got a bit curvier and started wearing skirts more often, I don’t really feel like they suit me anymore; because the Vans are more like the bog standard canvas shoes that I’ve had before from Primark, I think they would work well with the little skirts I wear!

3. Because it isn’t always about practicality, and because I’m still looking for a new pair of go-to-heels, now that my usual wedges are falling apart… I’m kind of in love with these ones from Boohoo. I love a good colourblock and think these colours are just splendid!

4. Lipstick is a definite staple for me at the moment in terms of my daily make up look, and now summer’s coming along I’m fancying something a little bit lighter and fresher looking than the usual shades of vibrant reds and purples I favour. I think this Rimmel one, that is part of the Kate Moss collection, would be quite nice just to add a bit of a pearlescent shine for the summer.

5. If perfumes were only a few pounds a bottle, I guarantee you that I would have a room full of them at home! Unfortunately, in reality, that isn’t the case, so really, I can only buy a new scent every now and then – and even then, I always end up asking for a bottle for Christmas instead of buying it myself. ‘Flowerbomb’ by that fabulously handsome duo, Viktor and Rolf, is one of my definite favourites that I don’t currently own, and I do enjoy a nice spritz whenever I see it in a shop. Hopefully I’ll own a bottle for myself, soon!

6. This little fishy is someone who really struck me senseless when I visited the Butler and Wilson store last week. At £498, he is more than a little out of my price range, but hey, that’s what lust lists are all about, right? I would love to be able to carry him in my hand, alongside my new goldfishy friend ring, that I bought on my visit – I think having the two would catapult me into my own little under the sea (everybody sing with me now, under the sea!) dream world!

7. I spotted this top in Therapy by House of Fraser when I visited Bluewater earlier in the week, and really wish the price had been reduced further so I could’ve bought it. With an RRP of £28, and even with the reduction to £14, I still felt it was a little pricey considering that the fabric is quite flimsy, and that essentially its quite a plain t-shirt. I know that probably makes me seen really stingey, but I like to be careful that I’m spending my money on the right things, for the right price, which I don’t think is a bad thing! Who knows, maybe it will come to me some day through a charity shop : )

Sunday Lust List #9

1. I have been a firm fan of Butler and Wilson for a few years now, and when I spotted these dazzling beauties in a little shop in Wells a few weeks ago, I fell in love! A little bit out my price range perhaps, but that doesn’t have to stop me dreaming of them, right?!

2. This dress is a pink, sparkly, princessy dreaaam! I missed out on wearing these kinds of dresses when I was little, because I was such a fiend when it came to pretty outfits – as my poor mum can vouch for! Nonetheless, I would absolutely love to pair this up with the other accessories in this Lust List, and head off to a fun summer ball – a girl can dream :)

3. Ever the mermaid wannabe, I would love to be able to carry my essentials around in this cute little Zara Rhodes seashell clutch – perfect!

4. I seem to forever be on the hunt for the perfect heels – practicality always comes above looks when it comes to shoes, for me, which is always what stops me making that purchase; I am currently Carrie and Lucy’s house, which is full of pretty shoes, and am having some serious shoe envy, which is making me increasingly eager to update my collection!

5. I am currently starting to get a little bored of my usual smokey eye look for evenings out, and felt that some fun variation could come in the form of this forest green shade by Bourjois! I am very much an aesthetic-led kind of girl, and have always really loved the packaging of the Bourjois little Round Pots; I’m surprised that I don’t have more of them in my make up bag!

6. After having my last mascara on the go for round about a year, it has finally given up on me, sob sob! I’m always a little cynical as to whether mascaras can realllly be that different, brand to brand, but I’ve been hearing good things about Bad Gal Lashes by Benefit, and would like to give it a go sometime.

7. WOWWWW. This ring is too amazing for words! I’m hoping to be able to buy myself a little graduation treat in the next month or so, and this is currently top of my wish list! At around £30 I think that its pretty reasonable too – I can’t wait to pair it up with some of my favourite summer outfits : )

Sunday Lust List #8

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned before, but River Island is definitely my favourite high street shop. I’ve had some free time on my hands now my degree is finito (yay!) and was browsing the website last night; with too many pieces I luuurve, I couldn’t choose just 1 or 2 items I liked, so I decided to put together a whole River Island themed Lust List this week! Also, River Island haven’t contacted me about doing this or anything (all of the items from past lust lists have been put there purely by my own accord, too!) just incase this looks like a PR jobby/sponsored post – I’m a genuine RI fan through and through and have been for a long time, pinky promise! : )

1. I think I’ve waffled on enough in past Lust Lists over how obsessed I am with baroque/scarf/chain print, or whatever else you want to call it… and paired with a dash of dalmation print (puppy friendly, might I add!) this dress is pretty damn groovy if you ask me!

2. I have this skirt in Hot Pink, which I bought in the sales around Christmas. I’ve pretty much been wearing it with everything, and with the amount of material involved in this case, I’d say for a high street item its a bit of a steal – the cut is really flattering too!

3. I’ve never been one to turn down a Fruit Salad chew sweet (remember those tangy delights?!) so when I see an item of clothing co-ordinated to the colours of a favourite sugary treat, who am I to resist? Also, I’m a huge fan of Hot Pink lately, and alongside orange I would have to say this is one of my favourite colour combos! I’m also surprised that I only own 2 or 3 playsuits, so I feel this would be a worthy addition to my wardrobe.

4. Currently on the hunt for some new ‘going out shoes’, these perspex platforms are more than edgy enough to tide me over and keep any outfit interesting, and black is always a safe bet as far as shoes go, for someone who doesn’t like to buy heels that often!

5. Because who doesn’t love some kind of crazy/clashy print as an addition to their summer wardrobe??

6. This is an idea I wish I’d thought of, and I think its genius! I’m a big fan of mini-skirts, but not so much a fan of the whole bending down and revealing my knickers to the world… so what could be better than a skirt that shows a bit of leg at the front, but helps you save your dignity whilst allowing a dramatic entrance every time? plus, this is my favourite colour and reminds me of a waterfall… little things please little minds, right?

7. This clutch not only looks sparkly and fab, but it has a chain strap too – perfecto! I’m not one to be trusted with handle-less clutch bags, because inevitably unless a bag is attached to me in some shape or form, it won’t be going home with me, which means bye bye mobile phone and purse, and a lot of aggro to follow! I’m a huge fan of dazzling but practical items, so this is a match made in glitzy-bag heaven!

8. Scalloped edge blazer?? YES PLEASE. Not because I want to be jumping on any bandwagons, but I am a huge huuge fan of smart casual with a bit of a quirky edge, and isn’t the colour gorgeous? Anyone wearing this would certainly stand out in any dull and dreary boardroom, I love it!

9. Because sunglasses are fashion’s gift to those of us who’s eye make up refuses to stay put all day, and because the perfect pair of sunnies are also an immediate lift as far as the glam factor goes… and most of all, because personally, I can never have too many pairs, and with a fun little retro pop can you really go wrong?

10. The UK is failing us miserably this year in terms of bringing some serious Spring sunshine… which means the tights are lingering around longer than ever before! So, the best way to counteract the annoyance of having to wear tights when you wish you could be frolicking bare legged, is to embrace all kinds of crazy patterns and have a field day with them. These striped creations may be a little more Beetlejuice than most, but if the fashion myth is true that vertical stripes are flattering, perhaps these could be the key to supermodel pins any day of the week? Bonsoir Beetlejuice… bonjour Victoria’s Secret Angel! *flips hair*

Sunday Lust List #7

01. I’m a big fan of Swedish Hasbeens, and when I saw these on ASOS they reminded me quite a lot of some of the designs I’ve seen before. These are pefectly chunky, as well as being in a great blush red that I think would look great with a little summer dress and some matching lipstick! I also really love the cutout detail, and because of the platform they probably wouldn’t be too uncomfortable. I’m a big fan of redesigned clogs, and these are pretty much the ideal as far as I’m concerned!

02. I really love a cute collar, but unfortunately since they became a ‘thing’, they’re two a penny on the high street and every other person seems to be wearing one at the moment. I’m a bit reluctant to buy peter pan collared shirts now because they don’t have that novelty appeal that they used to, so this would be the perfect solution to this; it would allow me to collar up my existing clothes, which would keep the look unique and a bit more fresh!

03. I spotted this cute little cushion on Gem’s blog, and simply had to put it on my lust list. I’m not sure where its from, but I love decorative items like this because they’re great for adding an air of eclecticism to a room – and positive thinking is the way forward, people!

04. I’m basically obsessed with lipstick at the moment, and I feel quite bare without it! I thought that with the addition of a Pink Glitter lipstick it would crank it up an extra notch on the dazzle scale… love it : )

05. It probably seems really childish that I would be wanting a marabou feather scrunchie! I promise I’m not having a mid life crisis… 90% sure anyway! I’m just forever compelled to decorate myself with feathers, and since I’ll be wearing my hair up a bit more from now on I’d really like one of these to put around a bun. Who’d have thought I’d be looking back to myself as an 8 year old for style inspiration?? Certainly not me, I can tell you that for nothing…

06. That dress, plus these coloured nails = a match made in heaven, don’t you think?!

06. And now, the holy grail. This dress is truly eye-poppingly epic! I would love to take this Versace creation for a spin at a cocktail party, its to die for… something tells me I won’t be having the funds to buy it anytime soon, but a girl can dream, right? B-E-A-U-tiful.

Sunday Lust List #6

01. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a couple of bow ties for a while now to wear with my favourite shirts; I usually just tie a sash or piece of ribbon into a bow under my collar, but I think bow ties can make for a more unusual and androgynous look. I couldn’t decide between a hot pink shade, or a jade green/teal colour, so I thought I’d put both up. They would both look great with a cute patterned shirt and a blazer, such as the striped Topshop one pictured above, don’t you think??

02. I’m pretty much obsessed with scarf print garments at the moment, and feel like this is a trend that I’ve been waiting to get my hands on for forever! As I said on my last lust list, I’m a huge fan of the 90′s Versace throwback trend that’s going on, and think that these shorts would look super cute with a collared shirt and a bow tie, with the striped blazer for a sweet little summer ensemble.

03. There are two pairs of Melissa shoes I’m lusting over at the moment, and these Jason Wu collaboration pair are the first. The burgundy colour is perfect for me, as I really wearing love jewel tones all year round. I feel like its about time I get my hands on some jellies-for-grown-ups, because of how much I used to love wearing them when I was younger; old habits die hard, eh?! And with the little bow and cute owl emblem, they would make for a nice practical yet fun addition to a lot of outfits!

04. As far as my eye make up goes, I’m quite unadventurous and like to stick to a smoky eye when I’m getting made up for a night out etc. This palette that I saw in Boots not only has cute packaging, but is affordable at around £4 and has a good number of shades that can be used to create variations of that classic smoky look; albeit adding a little bit of a dusky pink, or perhaps a midnight blue to the equation… perfect! I’ve got to say too that I’m not a huge believer in spending lots of money on make up. In my experience it all generally does the same thing, and since I rarely ever spend more than £5 on one item, this does the job for an agreeable price : )

05. I’ve been craving a preppy Ralph Lauren-esque blazer in my wardrobe for quite some time now. I’m a huge fan of blazers because they can really transform a boring outfit into something that looks sophisticated yet stylish. I’m also a huge fan of mustard-yellow, so when I stumbled upon this Topshop creation it was pretty much love at first sight. At £60, I feel that the price tag is a bit too steep for a staight forward blazer like this one (particularly since Topshop is a high street brand – admittedly I really only ever buy from Topshop when a sale’s on!) but I’ll be keeping my eye out for similar styles that won’t set me back quite as many pennies.

06. One of my biggest wardrobe-regrets is that it doesn’t contain more playsuits. I often find myself having conflicting views over playsuits; they look so good, but yet can be rather a struggle on a night out/for day wear etc because its essentially an all-in-one, which for excursions to the toilet makes for quite an impractical time! My fellow playsuit wearing ladies will know what I mean… nonetheless, everything about this playsuit is wonderful, and I would happily stick out any of the playsuit-related irritations if it meant I could get my hands on this – I love it!

Sunday Lust List #5

01. Being from the countryside, I’m quite a practical girl when it comes down to it (I walk far too fast to be trotting around in heels all day!) and I’m currently on the lookout for the perfect pair of flats – and I think I’ve found them in these Marc by Marc Jacobs mousey creations; although these are anything but mousey in my opinion; they’re so much fun! I really have a thing for animal inspired fashions (you’ll know that by now if you’ve visited CherryHumbug.com!) I’m not sure I can afford the £150-ish price tag, but I’ve spotted some good lookalikes on eBay so I could be in luck, we’ll see. I would love to be able to own the real thing though, because I find it hard to get unique/unusual looking flats that I like, that will last a good amount of time; I’ll be praying for a lottery win in the next few weeks, these are the most perfect flats I’ve ever clapped eyes on! Siiigh.

02. Speaking of lottery wins, some spare cash would certainly come in handy when it comes to kitting myself out with a Chanel 2.55. Whilst I appreciate the classic black 2.55, I have been lusting after this pineapple-yellow variation for a long time now. I seem to remember one of my first ever blog posts, around 5 years ago, was about this beauty! I have never seen it in person, but I think if I did I would fall more in love with it than before, so that’s probably a good thing! I’ve come to realise that I’m not really into black bags, I like colour too much, so this would be perfect.

03. I’m a bit of a sucker for anything patent, and this heart-buckle belt would be a great way of adding a colour-pop to my summer outfits. I love to use accessories as a way of updating and re-wearing outfits, because contrary to popular belief, not all bloggers buy new clothes all the time – I’m one of them! I’m quite thrifty and think that a good accessory can be an inexpensive way of updating a look, and block colour pieces can be really versatile year round, too.

04. First of all I want to emphasise the fact that I’m not being paid/encouraged in any way to endorse Sleek Make Up, and that I genuinely am really impressed with the products I’ve bought from their range. I now have lipsticks ‘Mystic’ and ‘Vamp’, and love how rich in pigment their shades are for just £3.99, such a great bargain in my opinion – I’m quite addicted to lipstick at the moment! I would also love to add ‘Papaya Punch’ to my collection, in time for summer, now I have a great red wine shade sorted. My next mission is to find a vibrant, summery orange to add to my make up bag, and if the others are anything to go by, this could be the one!

05. One of my favourite trends is the throwback to 90′s Versace prints. I love the irony of wearing items that are ‘delightfully tacky’, and I feel like this River Island top could be the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe. The colours make my eyes pop out in a fit of euphoria, and with the addition of the regal looking leopards, as well as a splash of baroque print, this top combines an irresistible mix of all of my favourite styles… I’m going to have a hard time resisting this, I can tell… *faints*

06. I’ve been hankering after a pair of denim hotpants for the last 3-4 summers, but have never quite found a pair that are ‘me’ – I’m not a huge fan of blue/grey/black denim, (for years now I’ve been a jean-dodger) and the jeans I finally have started to wear are brightly coloured; so as you can imagine, when I stumbled across these dip dyed ones, I felt as if the trend had finally swung my way! I think the shorts would look amazing paired up with the rest of the items in this post, a combination that I can pretty much say would be my perfect summer festival outfit… Glastonbury, I miss you.

07. A huge fan of costume jewellery, how could I not love these Miu Miu earrings? With stones in my favourite shade of jade green, for me its the jewels that are often the crowning glory of an outfit. Again, the price tag dictates that these are slightly out of my reach, which is fine because I’m hoping to find the solution to this in CherryHumbug.com; my mission to supply great costume jewellery, for a more affordable price point… check it out!

Sunday Lust List #4

01. There’s not much more to say other than I am OBSESSED with these Miss Guided wedges. I don’t often buy shoes, but I do occasionally find myself getting fixated on certain pairs. In the soft gold, they are perfectly glitzy without being too trashy – although I can’t say I’m that afraid of a bit of tack every now and then! The best part is that at £34.99 I’d say they are very affordable, we’ll see how long I can resist, eh?

02. I am constantly wearing Barry M nail varnishes, and have been for over a year now! The colours are so bright, vibrant and fun, and unlike other brands, Barry M polishes don’t chip that quickly – which is great for people like me who are a bit lazy with their nails at times! I am longing to add these truly lustworthy shades to my collection: Aqua Blue, Fuchsia and Racing Green.

03. I popped into New Look a few weeks back and spotted this cute little owl coin purse out of the corner of my eye. Needless to say, I rushed on over to it straight away and ‘awwed’ at him for a while, such a little cutie! I have to give kudos to New look because some of the things I’ve seen in there lately are indistinguishable from some of the current Topshop items, but a lot cheaper, they’re on their way up!

04. Speaking of Topshop, I’m a sucker for an A-line skirt… particularly pink ones! This pastel shade, pleated one is right up my street, and would look great with some white cable knit knee high socks, and the Miss Guided wedges… too perfect for words.

05. I can’t quite tell you how impressed I am with Sleek Make Up. I bought their lipstick in ‘Mystic’ a few weeks ago, and have been wearing it religiously ever since! For such an affordable brand, their colours are highly pigmented and have great staying power. For just £4 a pop (major bargain alert!) I can tell I’ll be buying many more shades in the future!

06. What would a lust list be without a dream-designer item thrown in? I’m currently obsessed with fur, particularly in this great shade of nude-pink. This bag would be the perfect accessory for any summer outfit in my opinion! Miuccia if you’re reading this… call me : )

07. Remaining true to my love of Apple products, the iPad would be the perfect solution for my travels back and forth between Kent and my home town in Somerset. I adore my Macbook like you wouldn’t believe, but to be able to have all of the power in a tablet as light and slick as this, I would be crazy not to be hankering after one of these babies! Genius.

08. Motel always has something fun and colourful to offer, and the moment I saw this ‘Rita’ playsuit I was in love! The print works so well in this amazing shade of jade green, and again, it would look amazing with those Miss Guided wedges… are you sensing a pattern here?! Either way, this playsuit is just so much fun, I would love to add it to my summer wardrobe!

Sunday Lust List #3

01. I’m not particularly adventurous when it comes to make up, and tend to stick to a smoky eyed look if I’m ever making that extra effort, which is why this palette looks great! I know that with this selection of colours, I could easily mix up the look in a way which would remain fairly neutral and not too over the top. Whilst I absolutely love wearing colour, as far as make up goes, I’m a bit scared I could end up looking like a drag queen or a dodgy 80′s throwback! I have heard great things about Urban Decay from friends, who know more about make up than I do, myself, so I’d take their word for it that this would be a good addition to my make up collection!

02. Dahlia is a brand I have been looking to for inspiration for quite a while now. I haven’t ever made a purchase for some reason, but I know that it is inevitable that I will! This style reminds me of Jean Seberg’s cute striped Dior number in ‘Breathless’, and since the nautical trend seems to come back around each summer, this would be perfect for a trip to the seaside, with lots of ice cream of course!

03. As a fashion fanatic, I’m proud to say that I share my birthplace with Mulberry! Living in a little town in the countryside, an established designer brand such as Mulberry is something I never would’ve considered possible in terms of its origination – anyone else from a small town can probably agree that ‘country folk’ aren’t all that fashion orientated! But nonetheless, Mulberry has is currently celebrating its 40th birthday, and what better way to do this than by publishing a book? Admittedly, at £55, even for what I imagine is a beautifully put together, glossy paged extravaganza, the price tag is still a little too steep to tempt me, but we can all dream, eh?

04. Ever since the days when I would watch The Little Mermaid at least once a day, I have been fascinated and enchanted by marine life. This has seemingly led to me having a bit of a thing for sealife inspired accessories, queue the goldfish ring on my first lust list, and now this adorable little Moby Dick coin purse by Gucci. I can’t think of a cuter contraption to keep my pennies in. I’m sure that if I had it my way, my whole life would probably end up looking like some sort of over sized fishbowl… no sharks though, please!

05. In celebration/mourning of the end of Harry Potter, and life as I’ve known it for 11 years, I feel like I should pay homage to a series that has meant so much to me, by being an ubergeek and adding a little golden snitch necklace to my jewellery box! My mum would possibly disown me for doing such a thing, I’m pretty sure she thinks I’m the most lame 21 year old on the planet for loving Harry Potter, but hey… HP fo’ lyfe! There are a lot of variations of this scattered about on Etsy, I’m yet to find my perfect snitch yet though, so I’ll be keeping an eye out!

06. I’ve always been a bit obsessed by feathery things… not birds so much, funnily enough, but if you put a feathered accessory in front of me I will attach myself to it. I’m currently on the lookout for a great little feathered collar, and whilst I’m not sure where this one is from, it pretty much fits the bill as far as I’m concerned! I would love one in either black, grey or dusky pink : ) or all of them, if I win the lottery?

07. Lula, Lula, Lula. Where do I begin? Possibly the most perfect magazine ever. The art direction is beautiful, and the clothes to die for, what’s not to love? Lula is like the magazine world’s answer to a wonderfully whimsical fairytale. I have been meaning to subscribe for like, forever… but somehow the pricepoint always puts me off a little bit. I think it’ll soon be time to bite the bullet, I don’t think I’ll regret it!

08. Boots are my favourite kind of shoe (Does that even make fashion-sense? Are they totally different things?) so each new season I seem to end up torturing myself over all of the amazing new ‘booty’ that comes into sight. These beauties from Topshop strike the perfect balance between feminine and that certain hard-edged clonkiness that I crave in a boot, that ignites endless style possibilities in my mind for each season! These may be my perfect boots. Reminiscent of jodphur boots, I’m reminded of my days mucking out horses in my riding days – not that these would be going anywhere near even a speck of mud if they were mine!

Sunday Lust List #2

01. There is possibly no more stylish way to bike-ride than on a gorgeous Pashley creation, I think you’ll agree. Perfectly elegant and ladylike, I have been wishing for a Pashley bicycle ever since I stumbled across the brand during one of my first year university projects. I can just imagine riding one of these beauties along the edge of a canal on a warm summer’s day, wind in my hair, and a nice box of yummy treats in the basket!

02. I remember hearing about bubble tea (I think it is also referred to sometimes as ‘pearl tea’) a couple of years ago now, but never really discovering it anywhere! I think it is perhaps more of a ‘thing’ in the USA than in the UK at the moment. I have recently heard about a place in London which specialises in the stuff, and am dying to go there to try one for myself – I hear that they come in different fruity flavours, including apple, which to me sounds absolutely delicious!

03. I’m a huge fan of wearing earrings, as you may have noticed! The more unusual, the better. I really like these because it’s kind of an optical illusion – they look like leopard print, but it’s actually just a series of little black rectangles. Clever, eh? I’m a fan of animal print accessories, and actually used to have some earrings similar to this with a zebra print pattern, which I wore to death and think I may have lost one of them – so I think these would be a great replacement!

04. Need I even explain myself on this one? These are the most badass sunglasses I’ve seen in a long time! Perfectly retro and endlessly quirky, these Prada shades are worth doing a double take over. They clearly belong somewhere in a Tim Burton film, I mean, wow…

05. After watching Rio, I seem to have gone a bit parrot mad! I love the 50′s feel to this cute little playsuit, and the colours are more than summery enough to make up for the bad weather we’ve been having in the UK the past couple of weeks. I’m hoping to make a trip to Las Vegas this October, and feel like this may be a great little addition to my holiday wardrobe!

06. Barry M never lets me down when I’m looking to add a burst of colour to an outfit via my nails, and these are the latest shades (‘Yellow’ and ‘Tangerine’) I’m looking to add to my collection! I aso find that Barry M stays chip proof much longer than other brands I’ve used, which means at £2.99 a pot I think they’re very reasonable.

07. I’ve always been really into statement jewellery. I rarely indulge in it, but always enjoy browsing for great pieces! I was lucky enough to stumble upon Les Nereides on one very confused trip to Covent Garden. I got lost about four times trying to find the place I was meant to be going to, but it was totally worth it because of this little discovery!

08. Having spotted an advert on TV for the Next summer sale, I thought I’d head on over to the website and see if there were any bargains to be had! I’ve been looking for some cute heels to wear through the summer months, needing them to be comfortable and practical enough to trek about town in, and also stylish enough to complete a simple summer outfit. I thought that these would be perfect, since they have enough of a platform to ensure that my feet won’t be unhappy in them! I’m a huge fan of the ‘cloggish’ styles that are about at the moment – I used to live in clogs on holidays when I was younger, so this more grown up version is definitely welcome in my wardrobe!
